HONEST BEAUTY: THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE REAL DEAL.
If You Are Considering Jumping To The Organic, Chemical-Free Side Here Is Something You Would Like To Know about Honest Beauty.
I am a San Francisco local. Therefore, it’s in my constitution to be aware on how important it is to be an environmentally friendly consumer. Now, Honest Beauty portrays its products as the healthier makeup alternative. However, my biggest concern comes as we know: organic = expensive. As a student/part time worker, I am not in a position to spend my millions of dollars in makeup, yet I want to be conscious and responsible with what I do to my environment and what I put on my face. Ultimately, have makeup that actually works.
I went along and got THE BUNDLE and let me tell you: it’s so worth it. Price is much more approachable to the medium income consumer. Also, you can stop the delivery when you want, or postpone it if let’s say you still have not run out of makeup. The Honest Beauty Bundle has a flat fee of $50 box. After I tried it, it feels like you are getting your money’s worth.
Let me state that Jessica Alba’s products are small as hell, yet you only need so much everyday. Therefore, you have a relatively small yet long lasting product. Yayy! Level one achieved.
PIGMENTED. UNSCENTED. SOFT ON SKIN.
Those are the attributes that come to mind when I use the Honest Beauty products. Now, some products might not make it to my Best Honest Club. As an example, The Depuffed eyes Gel is my falling hero. I was extremely excited about this product. Although I tried it for a couple months on a daily basis, it didn’t have any effect on my wonderful eye bags. Not even a soothing effect.
THE GOOD STUFF
The Honest Beauty Deep Hydration Cream. Now, that is what we are talking about. This product is amazing!! Especially if you apply it before going to bed. The next day, your skin feels a bit sticky but after a good face wash is rejuvenating and soft as baby butt. I would definitely put my husband on the line for this product.
Another found treasure is the Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser. So easy, so gentle, so efficient on the skin when it comes to removing makeup. I love that after I wash my face, it does the job designated for this product. Simply cleans up my face.
The Magic Lip Balm does the trick. Definitely gives that little glossy touch to your lips, and you only need a quick dab for it to brighten your face. Thumbs up for this little square.
Another great one, the Eye Shadow Trio. I got the soft sand color, and each one of the shades on it has such an amazing rich color. Hands down for this one. It’s easy to carry and I even combine the shades on it with other eye shadow pallets because they blend so well.
Lastly, but not less relevant is my secret savior Honest Beauty Truly Kissable Lip Crayon. THAT’S A LONG NAME. I really like this crayon because of how moisturized it leaves your lips. That’s a plus for me. It definitely adds some shine to your lips, so if you are into the matte lips trend, this isn’t your best choice.
